British Mezzo-Soprano Star Jennifer Johnston, recently announced as the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra’s upcoming Artist in Residence, is to release her debut solo disc ‘A Love Letter to Liverpool’ on Rubicon Classics. The disc is a tribute to her home city and its music, and will raise money for Alder Hey Children’s Charity and the RLPO Youth Company. Grace-Evangeline Mason is pleased to have arranged the traditional song ‘I Saw Three Ships’ for the album, which was recorded by Johnston and pianist Alisdair Hogarth. The disc will be available on Spotify, Apple Music and Presto Classical on the 27th September 2019.
